Now settled near Daylesford Victoria, Australia - Kate was born and raised in Melbourne before living and working in Port Douglas, Fiji, Hong Kong, Bangkok and Perth throughout her 20's and early 30's.
Kate has been involved in creative pursuits for much of her adult life - exhibiting paintings in Melbourne and Bangkok, and exploring other mediums before landing in her world of jewels.
What began as a few beads sourced at a baazar in Bangkok years ago has led to her finding her creative niche and a great love for Jewellery making and design. In the past five years Kate has designed, and delivered thousands of one-of-a-kind pieces, and seems to have an inexhaustible well of ideas for jewellery designs, and the passion to realize these ideas.
Kate draws her inspiration in part from the geometric designs of the art deco period as well as the nouveau period of nature inspired art; she combines these elegant realms in creating classic highly desirable, timeless pieces of jewellery to treasure .

The bowerbird is an Australian bird that creates a bower (or nest) and is known for its propensity to collect shiny and bright blue, objects. The male bowerbird then places these objects in the surrounding area in order to attract a mate into the bower.
Mimicking the bowerbird - each piece has been lovingly created from precious gems and metals gathered from around the world. Thus, Bowerbird Treasures.
